- Who should be CPR trained?
Everyone in the general public can benefit from being trained in CPR, First Aid, and AED. Medical professionals may be required to be AHA certified by the institution they work for or school they are attending. Non-medical personnel often take courses to become more knowledgeable in CPR, AED’s, and First Aid. Everyone can be trained to learn how to save a life.
- How do I register for a course?
Please visit our course schedule
to select the class and date of your choice. Once you have decided on the class and date you prefer, you will be directed to register for the course. Please feel free to register online.
- When will I get my American Heart Association (AHA) card?
American Heart Association certification cards are given immediately upon successful completion of course.
- Why are other Websites so cheap, what’s the catch with those $19.95 CPR cards?
There are many Websites and companies out there who offer CPR courses. Although those courses may indicate that they follow the American Heart Association (AHA) guidelines, they are very often not certified by the AHA. Companies and Websites who offer low priced CPR cards ($19.95) are most likely not governed or monitored by the AHA. As an official AHA Training Site, we are consistently audited by the AHA to ensure our instructions and methods follow their strict guidelines. In addition, AHA certifications are widely accepted and requested by many hospitals across the nation. This is especially true if you are a health-care professional.
- Why don’t you offer “instant” CPR card online?
The American Heart Association (AHA) does not offer “instant” CPR cards because skill testing in person is the only way to ensure that you are actually able to perform the skills. Your AHA certificate will be issued immediately upon successful completion of the skills test. Please take caution that the AHA will NOT offer “instant” CPR cards. If you need an AHA card but is offered an “instant” one, please check the validity of the provider and the card before you purchase it.
- How long is my card good for?
Your American Heart Association certification card will be valid for 2 years. As a courtesy, we will notify you via e-mail before your certification expires.
- What if I lose my card?
Please contact the specific company you took the class with to request an relpacement card.
