American Heart Association

BLS Provider

General information: This course is for Healthcare Professionals who need to know how to perform CPR, as well as other lifesaving skills, in a wide variety of in-hospital and out-of-hospital settings.  This course covers Adult/Child/Infant CPR, two-rescuer scenarios, use of the bag-valve mask (BVM), foreign-body airway obstruction, automated external defibrillation (AED), special resuscitation situations, and other cardiopulmonary emergencies. Class length: 4 Hours.

Students receive: A digital BLS Provider Manual and an American Heart Association course certification card (valid for 2 years).

Price: Original $90 / Renewal $70

Audience: Individuals such as EMTs, PAs, Nurses, Dentists, Physicians, Hematologists, Pharmacists, Lifeguards, Paramedics, PTs, OTs, and other allied health-care providers are likely required to be certified in BLS.

Heartsaver CPR/AED

General information: This is a credentialed CPR course for lay responders (AKA non-healthcare professionals). Adult/Child/Infant CPR skills are taught along with the use of barrier protection such as pocket face masks. Participants also learn how to use an AED. This course meets the requirements of athletic coaches and personal trainers. Class length: approximately 3 Hours.

Students receive: A digital Heartsaver CPR/AED Manual and an American Heart Association certification card (valid for 2 years).

General information: This is a basic first aid course which can be combined with Heartsaver CPR/AED. This course covers common medical and trauma emergencies as well as environmental emergencies such as frostbite and heat. Length of class is approximately 3 Hours.

Students receive: A digital Heartsaver First Aid Manual and an American Heart Association certification card (valid for 2 years).

Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid & CPR/AED

General Information: The Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid CPR AED course teaches students to respond to and manage illnesses and injuries in a child or an infant in the first few minutes until professional help arrives. This course is also ideal for parents, grandparents, babysitters, and guardians.

Students receive: A digital Heartsaver Manual and an American Heart Association certification card (valid for 2 years).

General Information: This is a non-credentialed basic CPR course for lay people. It is designed for people who want to learn adult, child, and infant CPR skills for their friends and families. There is no test or skills evaluation. Students receive a course completion card with their CPR booklet. Course length is approximately 2 hours.

Heartsaver Bloodborne Pathogens Online (OSHA)

General Information: This self-directed eLearning (online) course is designed to meet Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requirements for bloodborne pathogens training. Using interactive activities and video demonstrations of skills, this course teaches what bloodborne pathogens are and how they are spread, protection from exposure and how to act if exposed, how to clean up after exposure, and how to tell or report any exposure. Students receive a participation certificate upon completion of all modules. No on-site training is necessary.

Advance Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)

General Information: Course uses learning stations for a practice of essential skills simulated clinical scenarios that encourage Active participation.
