Life Saver Training, Inc. is an American Heart Association (AHA) Training Site. Below are the AHA courses we provide on a routine basis. We also provide American Red Cross (ARC) and American Safety & Health Institute (ASHI) classes as well.

AMERICAN HEART ASSOCIATION (AHA) CLASSES

AHA BLS Provider (CPR & AED for Healthcare Professionals)

General information: This course is designed for healthcare professionals who need to learn how to provide CPR and other lifesaving skills in a variety of in-hospital and out-of-hospital settings. This course includes adult, child, and infant CPR, two-rescuer scenarios, use of the bag-valve mask, foreign-body airway obstruction, automated external defibrillation, special resuscitation situations, and other cardiopulmonary emergencies. The total length of this course is 4 hours.

Students receive AHA certification card valid for two years and a digital student manual

Audience: Individuals such as, or training to become, RNs, CNAs, PAs, Dentists, Physicians, Hematologists, Pharmacists, Lifeguards, EMTs, Paramedics, PTs, OTs, and other allied healthcare providers are likely required to be certified in BLS.

AHA Heartsaver CPR/AED (for Non-Healthcare Professionals)

General information: This is a credentialed CPR course for lay responders or non-healthcare professionals. This course teaches adult, child, and infant CPR skills, as well as the use of barrier protection such as pocket facemasks. Participants also learn how to use an AED. This course meets the requirements for athletic coaches and personal trainers. The total length of this class is 3 hours.

Students receive AHA certification card valid for two years and a digital student manual.

Audience: Teachers, Coaches, Fitness Pros, Daycare Providers, Parents, Camp Counselors, Construction Workers, Nursery School Employees, and other caring citizens.

AHA Heartsaver First Aid

General information: This basic first aid course covers common medical and trauma emergencies, as well as environmental emergencies such as frostbite and heat. The length of this class is 3 hours.

Students receive AHA certification card valid for two years and a digital student manual.

AHA Family and Friends CPR

General information: This is a non-credentialed basic CPR course for lay people or non-healthcare professionals. This course is designed for people who want to learn adult, child, and infant CPR skills for their friends and families. There is no test or skills evaluation. The length of this course is 2 hours.

Students receive a course completion card (completion, not certification!) with their CPR booklet.

AHA Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid CPR/AED

General Information: This course teaches students to respond to and manage illnesses and injuries in a child or an infant in the first few minutes until professional help arrives. This course covers CPR, AED, and basic first aid for children and infants. The length of this course is approximately 4 hours.

Students receive an American Heart Association certification card valid for two years and a digital student manual.

Audience: The course is intended for individuals involved in child care who have a duty to respond to children’s health emergencies, including childcare workers, teachers, foster care workers, camp counselors, youth organizations, and coaches for children’s sports organizations. This course is also suitable for parents, grandparents, and babysitters.
